Spanish pronunciation rules - The vowels

The simplest and most efficient way of improving your communication skills in Spanish is by mastering the five vowels: a, e, i, o, u

These are the most important sounds in Spanish.

The five Spanish vowels have a pure, unchangeable sound. They sound the same whether they come at the beginning of a word, in the middle, at the end or on their own.

Although in theory the pronunciation of these five letters is quite straight-forward, the reality is that they can be easily mispronounced.
