There are a few sounds that make the Spanish pronunciation a real challenge. The double 'r' is one of the worst.
Mastering the double 'r' will take you time and determination, but if you follow the tips in this article you can soon improve your pronunciation of this sound.
In the Lesson 23 pronunciation movie of this Spanish for Beginners course you can practice saying the double 'r' through many interactive examples. One of them is the sentence:
Curro Arroyo arregla pararrayos en Monterrey
Curro Arroyo repairs lightning rods in Monterrey
Here I'm going to guide you through a technique that will help you say this sentence like a native.
First we're going to practice the five 'rr + vowel' sounds. Click on them to hear them said by native speakers.
rra rre rri rri rro rru
Now we're going to concentrate on one sound at a time. Click on it and then repeat it out loud after the speaker:
rra
Repeat it several times, always listening to the recording first.

At this point your pronunciation is likely to be 'imperfect'. Don't worry. Practice over time is what's going to make the real difference.
Once you've said 'rra' a few times, move on to the next cluster and practice it the same way. :
rre
Then practice the remaining three sounds, one at a time:
rri rro rru
