In this article you can learn and practice twenty-five feminine nouns. What they have in common is that they're all everyday words that you'll often hear in conversation, and that they all end in 'a'.

Learning technique: to learn these nouns well, concentrate on one at a time, starting with 'la tapa'. Click on it several times to get used to how it sounds, then repeat it out loud, along with the recording. Do the same with all the nouns on the list. Once you're familiar with all twenty-five nouns and their English translation, move on to the drill.

Pronunciation difficulties: here are some of the pronunciation mistakes you might be making when saying those nouns. These tips will help you get all the sounds right:
1. Are you saying the vowel 'a' correctly? Remember that it must sound like this:

2. The 'u' in 'la croqueta', and the 'h' in 'la zanahoria' and 'la hora', are both silent. - etc.
