In this movie you can learn and practice the new vocabulary you came across in the Lesson 3 dialog of our Spanish for Beginners course on video. These interactive audio flashcards have been created by María Fernández, an experienced native Spanish teacher.
Remembering new vocabulary can be a real challange. Often you'll feel some words will never stick. To help you master vocabulary, here are some tips:
- Open the Flashcard and Dialog movies of the same lesson in two separate windows.
- Listen to the dialog in the Listening section (that's the section where you only hear the dialog and you can't see it).
- Then go through the flashcards under Learn, repeating each word after the native speakers.
- Listen to the dialog again under Listening. This time, repeat what you hear, even if you can't get it all right.
- Go back to the Flashcard movie and go through the Speak section. Then listen to the dialog again.
- On the Flashcard movie, go through the Understand section. Make sure can get all the words right. Then listen to the dialog once again.
- Finally, go through the Practice section in the Flashcard movie, and then listen to the dialog. By now you should be able to repeat what you hear much more easily than before.
- This type of exercise works because it's much easier to remember words in context, rather than on their own.
- Listen to the dialog movies regularly, even long after you've completed the lessons. Reviewing is the secret of successful language learning.
