Hola, I'm Maria Fernandez, your online teacher, and the author of the

I'm a highly experienced Spanish native teacher.

In 1990 I graduated from university with a BA and in 1992 I completed my masters degree.

In 1994 I founded Spanish Bookworld and have been teaching Spanish online and in the classroom ever since.

I have more than sixteen years of experience teaching Spanish to adults and children, and I'm also the author of other Spanish courses: the Spanish Course for Kids, iPhone apps, ebooks and audio course on this site, Learn Spanish At Your Own Pace (book + 2 cds) and Spanish for Beginners CD-ROM.

I have a passion for foreign languages. I have studied English, French and German, and some Italian, Latin, Portuguese and Japanese, so I know from first-hand experience how difficult it is to make progress, get motivated and stay positive.
