Hola! Welcome back to my Spanish Podcasts for Beginners. Today we've got lesson 11.

In this lesson we're going to hear another dialog at the supermarket. Then we'll go through it line by line in both Spanish and English. Then, like always, we'll hear all the new words and phrases with their English translation. In the grammar section we'll learn how to put together nouns and describing words in the plural. Finally, we'll learn numbers eighty to eighty-nine. To practice our conversation skills, we'll do exercises and drills throughout this podcast.

Dialog at a supermarket - part 2

Diálogo

Once again we're at the supermarket with Francisco. This time he's buying some vegetables. There are some words and expressions we've seen before, and also new ones. To develop your listening skills fast, make sure you listen to this dialog a couple of times before looking at the transcript or its English translation. Afterwards we'll go through the dialog line by line.

Francisco: Hola, necesito medio kilo de cebollas, un pepino, una lechuga y dos pimientos verdes. ¿Tiene espárragos?

Dependienta: Sólo tenemos espárragos en lata. Están junto al azúcar y las galletas. ¿Qué más le pongo?

Francisco: Dos kilos de tomates, uno de zanahorias y medio de champiñones.

Dependienta: No me quedan champiñones. ¿Alguna otra cosa?

Francisco: No, eso es todo, gracias.

Dependienta: De nada.

Dialog - English translation

Frank: Hello, I need half a kilo of onions, a cucumber, a lettuce and two green peppers. Do you have asparagus?

Shop assistant: We only have tinned asparagus. They're next to the sugar and the biscuits. What else can I give you?

Frank: Two kilos of tomatoes, one of carrots and a half of mushrooms.

Shop assistant: I don't have any mushrooms left. Anything else?

Frank: No, that's everything, thanks.

Shop assistant: You're welcome.
