Product Description
Nahum.

Ok, after telling myself I will not read another Caballo de Troya..curiosity got the best of me...

The book is not that bad, there are some interesting episodes to ponder upon...however, it also has some major flaws; like someone has written, it looks more like vessel to promote J.J. Benitez's own beliefs about UFO's and Urantia, instead of focusing in the two pilots odyssey...

Benitez presents a version of Juan el Bautista as a demented albino with red eyes, which I found sort of odd and not convincing. In my opinion, this was a desperate attempt to push "the against the church ways" agenda that Benitez likes to promote in all of his books, but it is quickly becoming old..

Another point is that Jesus was sort of missing in action most of the time, which made the book very different from his previous works. The author failed to forget that the pilots were not suppose to get involved in the events surrounding them. Frankly, the whole romance triangle of Jason and Eliseo with Jesus' sister Rachel, is more of a case of running of out creativity and expanding a story that needed to be giving the proper closure a book ago.
I really wish Benitez will get to the point with the story; 300 pages of failed romances, circles, diarrheas, Melkisedek visions and a crazy albino with bees? ..seriously.

Benitez stop milking the cash cow..

4 out of 5 stars Trojan 7 review.   March 17, 2006

This books doesn't exactly follow the pattern of the previous ones, and is not what you expected to read. The writer delays the main character experiences as to extending the chain of books on the topic. Yet the book pulls your attention to the end, and includes a "soap opera" part with the beautiful romantic part of the weird, but normal feeling that both "time-travelers" experience with the sister of Jesus, Rachel.
The last chapter was the one that I like the most, very spiritual, reveals the spiritual bias (beliefs) of the writer.
It's a wonderful chapter, though, in this series, and opens your apetite for more.

The book is interesting. A must if you have been reading the previous volumes ( 1 to 6). Not as good as the first one, but still, it is giving a lot of interesting facts (if you believe on it) about the unknown life of Jesus. I try to skip the foot notes, because, even if they give me a lot of information, most of the times it has nothing to do with the core issue. As a whole, I consider the book a good purchase.
